Thank you for choosing K.Westy Creations. Every bag is handmade by me, Karen, with care and attention to detail. These Terms & Conditions explain how orders, payments, returns, warranties and delivery work.

Ready-Made Products

Ready-made products are individually handmade and may have minor variations in fabric placement, colour tone or hardware. These variations are a natural part of handmade products and are not considered faults.

Product descriptions and photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of each item. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and lighting.

Change of Mind – Ready-Made Products

Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order, provided the item is unused, undamaged and returned in the same condition in which it was sent, including any original packaging or accessories.

You may choose a refund or exchange. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is the customer's responsibility. Original postage costs are not refundable.

This policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Custom Orders – Designed for You

Custom orders are based on an existing K.Westy Creations design that you would like customised to suit your preferred fabrics, colours, hardware and other available details.

A 50% deposit of the product price is required to commence a custom order. The agreed design and specifications will be confirmed before production begins.

Please check all details carefully before approving your design. Payment of the deposit confirms your approval of the agreed specifications and authorises K.Westy Creations to commence your order.

Once approved, design changes may incur additional costs and may extend the production timeframe. Changes may not be possible once materials have been purchased or production has commenced.

As the item is being made specifically for you, a change of mind or cancellation after design approval is not grounds for a refund of the deposit. Where materials have been purchased or work has commenced, additional costs may apply if they exceed the deposit paid.

Custom orders require a minimum of 4 weeks for fulfilment from design finalisation and receipt of the deposit. An estimated delivery timeframe will be provided once the design has been finalised.

Bespoke Bags

Bespoke bags begin with your individual needs and requirements. We work together to determine the style, size, features, fabrics, colours and other details needed to create a bag specifically for you.

A 50% deposit is required once the design and specifications have been agreed. Production will not commence until the deposit has been received.

Before production begins, you will have the opportunity to review and approve the agreed design and specifications. Once approved, changes may incur additional costs and may extend the production timeframe.

As bespoke bags are made specifically to your requirements, a change of mind or cancellation after design approval is not grounds for a refund of the deposit. Additional costs may apply where materials have been purchased or work has commenced.

Bespoke orders require a minimum of 4 weeks for fulfilment from design finalisation and receipt of the deposit. The timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the design and availability of materials.

Handmade Variations

Due to the handmade nature of K.Westy Creations products and material availability, minor variations in fabric placement, colour tone and hardware may occur. These variations are not considered manufacturing faults.

Payments

The payment requirements for each order will be confirmed on your invoice.

For Custom and Bespoke orders, a 50% deposit is required before work commences. The remaining balance is payable before the completed item is shipped or collected.

Warranty

K.Westy Creations provides the following voluntary workmanship warranties:

Cotton fabric bags: 2 years from the date of delivery.

Vinyl/faux-leather bags: 1 year from the date of delivery.

The workmanship warranty covers faults arising from the manufacturing or construction process, including issues with stitching, seams, hardware attachment or other workmanship faults occurring during normal use.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, alterations or repairs carried out by another person, or deterioration caused by failure to follow the care instructions provided.

Vinyl and faux-leather can be affected by friction, abrasion, heat, moisture and general use. Wear or deterioration of these materials through normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault.

If you believe your item has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact K.Westy Creations with details and photographs of the issue. The item may need to be returned for assessment.

This voluntary warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace, exclude or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Care & Maintenance

Please follow the care instructions provided with your bag. Appropriate care will help maintain the appearance and condition of your handmade item.

Different fabrics and materials require different care. In particular, vinyl and faux-leather should be protected from excessive friction, heat, moisture and other conditions that may cause premature deterioration.

Damage or deterioration resulting from inappropriate care, misuse or failure to follow care instructions is not covered by the voluntary workmanship warranty.

Repairs

If your bag requires repair, please contact K.Westy Creations before arranging repairs with another person. Unauthorised alterations or repairs may affect your voluntary workmanship warranty.

Where a repair is not covered by the warranty, a repair quote may be provided.

Delivery

Delivery timeframes depend on the product and whether the item is ready-made, Custom or Bespoke.

Custom and Bespoke orders have a minimum fulfilment period of 4 weeks from design finalisation and receipt of the deposit. An estimated timeframe will be provided once the design is finalised.

Australian Consumer Law

K.Westy Creations complies with its obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees may provide you with rights to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy where a product does not meet the required consumer guarantees.

Where applicable, you may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a failure to meet a consumer guarantee.

Our voluntary warranties are provided in addition to these rights and do not replace, exclude or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
